Wohali

choreographed and conceptualized by Missy Lay Zimmer & Andrew Hubbard

‘Wohali’  is the Cherokee Native American Indian word for ‘Eagle’ & really the brain-child and inspiration of our future collaboration between our non profit, Exhale Dance Tribe & Okareka Dance Co (NZ). Wohali illustrates the duality between earth/sky and (wo)man/bird. Wohali is a meditation on sacred messenger connecting the two continents by this majestic/elusive bird.

Hundred Days

Know Theatre – July 24-August 22, 2015.

Wednesday-Saturday at 8pm.
Sunday at 3pm.

Check out this review from the Hundred Days show

Despite their impossibly limited space, the dancers (Sarah Emmons, Katie Farry, Courtney Howard and Jacob Thoman) – and choreographer Sonya Tayeh’s choreography – give the show a needed visual and dramatic boost.
